Randall lands his first offer

Palmetto (Fla.) linebacker Daqual Randall recently received his first offer.
"Louisville was my first offer," Randall said. "I received a letter from them. The letter told me they were going to offer and that they were inviting me to the Louisville family, to the Cardinal family."

The 6-foot, 220-pound outside linebacker is still in the process of learning more about Louisville's program.
"All I know is that they have a great group of coaches," Randall said. "Coach (Charlie) Strong used to coach at Florida. I know he works with the linebackers. I also have a former teammate at Louisville, (sophomore wide receiver) Damian Copeland. That is all I know about them at this point."
He has scheduled an unofficial visit for the start of his summer to see Charlie Strong and company.
"I plan to visit there the first week of June," Randall said.
Louisville isn't the only program in the picture.
"USF, Clemson, Georgia Tech, or Miami will probably be my next offer," Randall said. "I am hearing from all of them pretty frequently."
Randall recently visited the University of South Florida for a spring practice. He talked about his time on the in-state campus.
"I talked with Coach (Mark) Snyder while I was there," Randall said. "He just said he would be down here twice in the spring to see me. He told me to keep my grades up. He was talking about how many linebackers they have right now and how they may need me. He also told me more about their team."
At this point, Randall said his recruitment is on the backburner and his focus is on preparing for his senior season.
"I am just focused on my game right now," Randall said.
As a junior, Randall had 86 tackles, four sacks, and an interception.
