Rancifer high on three

Pensacola (Fla.) Catholic outside linebacker Demarius Rancifer has been focused on his senior season, and not recruiting. So far that focus is paying off as he has racked up an area-leading 79 tackles and also caught an interception. Not to mention the Crusaders are perfect through the first half of their season.
"Our season is going pretty good," Rancifer said. "We are 6-0 right now. We are playing pretty good. We have Escambia this week and Walton next week."

Off the field, when it comes to recruiting, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect gave the latest.
"Everything is going good right now," Rancifer said. "Ole Miss, Kentucky, and UCF. Those are my main schools right now. South Alabama has been on me pretty hard, but other than them it is just those three. West Virginia has also been talking to me lately, but they are newer."
Rivals.com's No. 96 rated prospect in the Sunshine State has yet to take his first official visit, but that will change.
"I was planning on going to the Ole Miss-Auburn game later this month. That will be an unofficial visit and I may take another official to there (Ole Miss)," Rancifer said. "They will all (three) get official visits. So will West Virginia."
When he steps on campus, he knows what he is looking for in the school that he will ultimately opt for.
"I am just looking at the academics, how the school works with their players, the coaching staff, and facilities," Rancifer said.
As for when a decision may be made, Rancifer expects to get it out of the way before the turn of the calendar.
"Maybe towards the end of our season, which will be December, maybe around that time I will make my decision," Rancifer said.
