Ramsay schedules two officials

In light of the coaching change at Boston College, Red Bank (N.J.) Lawrenceville Prep fullback Devon Ramsay decommitted from the Eagles. The 6-foot-2, 242-pounder has been looking around for a new destination. Has he set any official visits?
"I've scheduled two trips," he said. "I'm going to North Carolina this weekend and then Maryland next weekend.

"I'm not sure what's up with an offer from North Carolina. I think I'm going to find out all the details this weekend. I want to see if the environment fits me there. I do like their academics and the fact they play in the ACC."
Next week, Ramsay plans to head up to College Park.
"They haven't offered either, but I think they are very interested," he said. "They want me to play running back, fullback and Ralph Friedgen even stopped by today. He told me they'll see what happens with an offer in the next week or so.
"I like them because one of my teammates is already committed there, Ben Pooler. It's definitely a factor in my decision."
The three-star prospect is considering one other official next week to Vanderbilt.
"I'm still looking at Vanderbilt, I'm going to try to see if I can get there next week sometime," he said. "Even if I can't take the visit, they aren't out of it. I visited there this summer and already have a feel for the campus and stuff."
Meanwhile, Ramsay has dropped North Carolina State from the mix.
"I realized they aren't what I'm looking for in terms of academics," he said. "I think I'm wide open taking a wait and see approach with the other schools."
