Ramsay closing in on a decision

Red Bank (N.J.) Lawrenceville Prep fullback Devon Ramsay took his final official visit of the season this weekend to Maryland. With just a few days to go before Signing Day, is the 6-foot-2, 242-pounder any closer to a decision?
"My visit to Maryland went really well," he said. "It was a real short trip as I got there Friday and left Saturday evening. While I was there, I toured the facilities, stayed with some of the players and talked to the coaches.

"My host on the visit was Danny Oquendo. I also hung out with Isaiah Williams a lot. They were both really cool guys and talked to me about how they are really competitive and get after it every day in practice."
Ramsay spoke with the coaches including Ralph Friedgen on the trip too.
"I talked to the running back coach and coach Friedgen," he said. "I met with them on Saturday for breakfast and they basically were telling me how they have another running back they mostly use in the slot. They talked about how they could utilize me and him together in funky packages. I loved that, it sounded great. On top of that, I really liked the campus there. It was nice."
When asked to rate the visit, the three-star fullback declined.
Is Ramsay any closer to a decision?
"I'm trying to make one," he said. "I'm still more or less down to North Carolina, Maryland and Vanderbilt. I kind of want to have a press conference and I may do it either Tuesday or Wednesday.
"I'm going to look at every factor amongst these schools from playing time to academics and cultural life. I also will look at my comfort on campus and make a big list. Whoever has more checks is where I'll be going."
