Rams land desert star

When you hit pay dirt with one recruit it may not be a bad idea to return to the well that produced such tasty water. That is exactly what Colorado State did when they received the pledge from offensive lineman Richie Plunkett (6-7, 265, 5.4) from Las Vegas, Nev.
Plunkett will follow in the footsteps of former high school teammate Daniel Crews who signed with the Rams in 2003. The Rams feel Crews has a shot to start next season.

Now Colorado State landed another good one in Plunkett. He has the bloodlines. Plunkett is the son of UNLV hall-of-famer Art Plunkett.
New England Patriot fans are familiar with the elder Plunkett as he started for the Patriots in the 1985 Super Bowl against the Chicago Bears.
“Richie just felt real comfortable with Colorado State,” Las Vegas head coach Kris Cinkovich said. “He also visited UNLV. The deciding factor may have been Daniel Crews, they are good friends. The Rams are getting a great kid.”
Plunkett also had offers from Oregon State and Louisville, but he won’t visit either of the two schools. He is happy with his decision to play for the Rams.
Plunkett has a high ceiling and the Rams get a good one winning his services.
CSU over other offers from UNLV, Louisville, and Oregon State.
