Ramirez has two standing out

Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian three-star defensive back Santos Ramirez saw his recruiting stock take flight in July and it has not fallen since.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback entered the season with high expectations for himself and his team. Evangel Christian opened the season strong and Ramirez feels good about the direction the season is taking.
"I started off great," Ramirez said. "I have three picks so far and I think over 30 tackles so far. We've started off great. We're 3-0 and we're on a roll right now."
Recruiting has also continued in a positive direction. Alabama talked to him Friday. Texas, Baylor, and Auburn continue to recruiting him. He holds offers from Arikansas, LSU, Air Force, Memphis, Southern Miss, and Tulane and at this point in the process he does have two schools standing out from the rest.
"I'm leaning towards a top two so far and it's Arkansas and LSU," Ramirez said.
What does he like about the Razorbacks?
"They play in the SEC for one and I would probably get a chance to get on the field early" Ramirez said. "I like everything for academics also."
What about the Tigers?
"It's just the fact that growing up I always liked LSU," Ramirez said. "It's DBU there. They put people in the league. They win championships and they win games. It's not that far from home and it's just that they're the LSU Tigers."
He is not ready to make a decision about his college future, but he has thought about his official visit schedule and there a few visits he has in the works.
"I haven't scheduled exactly yet, but I do have some set up," Ramirez said. "I am going to visit LSU on an official visit and Arkansas and maybe Alabama too."
