Raleigh has another 2012 RB emerging

Raleigh, N.C. is home to a second emerging tailback in the 2012 class. Broughton running back Chris Mangus is already receiving interest from a number of colleges across the region.
"I've gotten mail from NC State, Duke, Maryland, Virginia, Nebraska, Georgia Tech and Clemson," he said. "I haven't gotten any offers yet."

Mangus took one visit so far this season.
"I've been to one of the Duke games when they played Alabama," he said. "It was pretty good, it was a blowout."
Although he plans to take more visits, Mangus has nothing else scheduled at this time.
With interest developing, does Mangus like anybody early?
"I'd love to go to Florida, but I also like the North Carolina schools, I like NC State," he said. "I like the history at Florida, they have a good program, while State is close to home and they're a good academic program. They also have engineering andI'm thinking about that."
A solid student with a 3.0 GPA, Mangus is a track star outside of football placing fifth in the 200 and sixth in the 500 in the state.
Last season as a starter on the gridiron, Mangus ran for 1,184-yards and 13 touchdowns.
So far this season, he has run for 678-yards and seven touchdowns in six games.
"This year is going pretty well, I've increased my speed and that is helping a lot. I'm just trying to score as many times as I can."
