Raji has good first visit

Washington Township (N.J.) Westwood defensive tackle BJ Raji has his first official visit in the books and was impressed with what Rutgers had to offer. He has one more visit planned and will take at least one more before making a final decision.
“It went really well,” he commented. “I was really surprised at how much effort the people at Rutgers have put into the program.

“The facilities are phenomenal and they are adding more. They took us on a tour and showed us exactly what was going to be in each place. I had a great time.” He rated the visit a nine and was hosted by running back Justin Harston.
In addition to his Rutgers visit, Raji also has a trip planned to Boston College for this upcoming weekend (Dec. 12). Although he has not set dates for his three remaining visits, he will visit Iowa, Wisconsin, or Michigan State on Dec. 19.
He may set other visits, but that will depend on how the first three go. What would make him decide before taking all of his visits?
“If I go and it feels right,” he said. “Some of my coaches have been through all of this and they said if you get that deep down in the gut feeling, then just go ahead and commit.
“I haven’t decided on taking other visits. If I have already made a decision I won’t schedule any more.
“I am looking at what the football program has to offer and the depth. I would like to play as soon as possible, and if it comes down to two schools, I will go to the one where I can play the soonest.” BC’s Coach Bill McGovern was in for an in-home visit last week and Wednesday Raji will host Rutgers’ Darren Rizzi.
B.J. stands 6-foot-2, weighs 295 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds.
