Rachal Visits Cal

Just a week after saying he was done taking trips and was a solid commitment, Compton (Calif.) Dominguez offensive lineman Chilo Rachal visited Cal this past weekend with his buddy Derrick Jones.
“It kind of happened late in the week but I had a good time,” Rachal said. “Cal has been recruiting me really hard the past month or so and I wanted to visit and check things out. They have a lot of good things going on here and Cal definitely moved up in my opinion. I think along with USC, Cal is probably in the best position to win in the Pac 10 and they don’t have much on the offensive line coming back right now.

“USC was still the most fun I’ve had on a trip so far and I’m still committed there. I just still get confused about what to do at times because of the playing time factor. I want to play, that’s huge to me and USC is just loaded right now. The trip last weekend to SC was unreal but once the emotion wore off a little, I started thinking about Washington again and that’s also what encouraged me to take a visit to Cal.
“At this point, I don’t know if I’m going to take any more trips or not. I know Michigan really wants me to visit still but I haven’t set anything else up. I just need to take some time off to think over what is best for me to do. Hopefully by Signing Day I’ll know what I should do so I can just follow my heart and not have any second thoughts no matter what I do.”
