Stanford is on a roll.

The Cardinal landed another major piece to their recruiting class Monday morning when four-star athlete Curtis Robinson picked Stanford over UCLA, Notre Dame and many others.
"The atmosphere really stands out and so does the academic process there," Robinson said. "It's really a combination of football and success in academics. If you go there you're set for life."
So much stood out about Stanford from the academic and football sides that it was too much to turn down for the Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei prospect, who has excelled at wide receiver, linebacker and safety this offseason.
There have been plenty of 7-on-7 events and camps in Southern California in the last few months and Robinson has been one of the best and most consistent performers at all of them.
Wherever Robinson shows up, the four-star dominates on offense and defense and that's why he's a tremendous addition to this Stanford class that has seen a dramatic uptick recently.
Days before Robinson made his decision, the Cardinal landed four-star tight end Kaden Smith out of Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus. Smith was the top offensive performer at the recent Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour in Dallas.
A couple weeks ago, Stanford also received a commitment from four-star quarterback K.J. Costello from Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic. Rivals.com rates Costello as the second-best pro-style quarterback in the class.
Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep three-star defensive tackle Bo Peek picked Stanford in February. That coaching staff is in hot pursuit of many others, including five-star Alabama commit Demetris Robertson (who visits Stanford this summer and called it his dream offer), Costello's four-star receiver teammate Dylan Crawford and many others.
As for Robinson, he especially saw his recruitment blossom in the last few months as schools across the country offered. He narrowed it down to a more manageable level and really started to focus on about a handful of programs.
In the last few days, the Mater Dei standout seemed especially focused on Stanford, UCLA and Notre Dame.
A recent trip to South Bend did not make his pending decision any easier as Robinson was taken aback by how similar Notre Dame was to his high school. The four-star said he really respected the linebacker class UCLA is putting together and being a part of it played a major consideration.
But Stanford is Stanford, and that's something Robinson was not going to turn down. Of course, the academics played a major role in his choice. What he saw from the football side was excellent, too.
"Football-wise, it was their practice regimen," Robinson said. "Colleges do it differently all around the country and it works but I like that they go full-contact all the time.
"They're full-contact in the spring, that's cool because it gets them ready to play big teams like Wisconsin, Notre Dame, UCLA and USC, during the season which I like a lot."
