Rivals250 running back Andre Robinson has been steadily picking up offers. On Thursday night, Louisville offered the stand out from Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt, and he has some visits planned also.
"I know Louisville has had some strong seasons the past couple years," the 5-foot-10, 210-pound Robinson said. "I watched their bowl game and I liked watching Teddy Bridgewater. I talked to coach (Garrick) McGee tonight and they are definitely on the rise. Now they're in the ACC with Florida State and Miami, so that's pretty cool. It's something I definitely want to look into."
Penn State, Ohio State and Notre Dame are just some of the schools that are recruiting Robinson very hard.
"Saquon Barkley's commitment doesn't really affect my views on Penn State too much," he said. "I know I'm going to have to compete wherever I go. I look at it as a positive thing and that there will be someone there to push me and work against me. It's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm going up to Penn State on Monday and on March 21.
"I really like how the Ohio State program is on the rise. They were ranked number three most of last season, they played in the Big Ten Championship and they played Clemson in the Orange Bowl. Coach (Urban) Meyer is a good guy and I've known coach (Larry) Johnson since my freshman year. It's definitely a plus that he is there now. I'm going to Ohio State on March 22.
"I went out to Notre Dame twice last offseason and then for a game in the fall. I was talking to them the other day and they are in the process of evaluating me now and they'll let me know soon where I stand with them. I'd definitely really like an offer from them. I don't have any favorites, but if they did offer they would be towards the top of my list."
There are a few other schools Robinson is high on.
"I'm definitely going to be looking into Louisville," said Robinson. "I like Michigan State a lot. I like coach Warner. I also like Virginia Tech. I'm really good friends with Andrew Ford and he has been begging me to come down. Those are probably the top schools that I'm showing interest in."
Robinson is also thinking about taking visits to Michigan State and Michigan.
