R250 OL Davis sets more visits, closing in on more cuts
The last time we heard from Rivals250 offensive lineman Terrance Davis Michigan and Maryland were leading. The Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha stand out had a top five but is looking to make more progress in the next month or two.
"I'll have a top five before the season starts," said the 6-foot-4, 310-pound Davis. "UCLA, Michigan, Maryland and Alabama will make the cut."
Davis has always liked Maryland and "The Movement" is starting to affect him. He will likely visit again this offseason and will surely get to College Park for a game or two but he says there is only one school at the top right now.
"Michigan is the favorite," he said. "I really like the family atmosphere and coach Harbaugh. He's a pretty amazing coach. I got to sit down with him and see what he's about. Coach Drevno is my guy too."
Davis recently locked in an official visit to UCLA for January 15.
"Coach Bradley really took over my recruitment after coach Klemm," Davis said. "I talked with coach Mora a couple days ago to set the official visit up. I'm really intrigued by UCLA and I can't wait to get out there."
The Georgia Bulldogs, one of the teams vying for the final spot in his top five, will host Davis for Dawg Night in July.
"I keep in touch with coach Sale and coach Richt often," he said. "I talk with them at least twice a week. I went down there last year for Dawg Night. The competition was great and that's when I got the offer."
Alabama is in good position with Davis and he says he will visit some time in July.
"I'm going to get to Alabama before or after Georgia," said Davis. "Coach Cristobal is a very good coach. He's down to earth and knows how to recruit. His words mean a lot."
