With the way the season has played out for Nebraska, it’s not shocking news that commits have been at least having a look at some other possibilities. Case in point, Joshua Moore’s recent official visit to Alabama.

The Rivals250 wide receiver has been committed to the Huskers since June, but was on-hand for the Crimson Tide’s 45-7 drubbing of Tennessee last weekend.

“It was crazy,” he said. “It was my first time being in Tuscaloosa, so there were a lot of things I wanted to see. I had a great chance to spend some time with Coach (Nick) Saban and have a good conversation with him. We got to talk a lot about the university and my opportunities there.”

Opportunity means something extra to Moore, who chose Nebraska this summer in part because of the priority he was shown by the Huskers’ track program. He said that since then, Alabama and fellow suitor Florida State, have made it clear he would have the same situation waiting for him at their respective schools.

As for the visit itself, that was all about the football. Moore said that being at the game gave him the chance to take a closer look at some of the things he hadn’t had a chance to zero-in on from afar.

“I was looking forward to seeing how they spread ball around the most,” he said. “I’ve watched their games before, but I never really paid attention to how they really operate their offense so I was really looking at how they get it going and the success that they had.”

Moore said that after the recent visit to Alabama and a tentative official visit to FSU in the equation, he’s still mindful of what he’s taken from all of his past visits to Lincoln and how that will factor into his final decision.

“Before I had committed I had already been there twice,” he said. “I feel like I’ve kind of saw everything that I needed to see before I pulled the trigger and committed … going up there on my official, I saw the things they needed me to see as far as the facilities, the players on the field, and things like that. I’ve been there four times already, so there is nothing there that I feel I haven’t seen.”
