R250 DB Robinson enjoys UVA visit

It was a busy weekend at Virginia with a number of recruits on campus. One of the highest rated visitors was Hampton (Va.) Phoebus 2016 Rivals250 defensive back Robbie Robinson.
"I went to Virginia yesterday for the scrimmage and the cook out," said the 5-foot-9 167-pound Robinson. "Everything was good. The defense looked really good during the scrimmage. I think they'll be really good in the ACC this year. I talked to coach London and coach Chip. Coach London and I talked about how I'm doing and how my team is doing so far. Coach Chip talked a lot about school and family. He said I'd have a good chance to play early if I come there."

Robinson is close with many of the current Cavaliers and he is hearing a lot of good things about Virginia.
"I talk to Quin and all of them all the time," he said. "They love it up there. Quin is the starting safety and he looked good yesterday. Smoke did really well yesterday too."
A number of schools are heavily recruiting Robinson.
"I've been talking Northwestern and Louisville a little now," Robinson said. "They're some new schools I've been talking with. I have a really good relationship with the Clemson coaches as well as Wisconsin and Virginia.
"Coach Reed and I talk pretty often," he said. "I've also talked to MacKensie Alexander over there. I talk to a few of their other defensive backs but Mackenzie and I probably talk the most."
Two more schools will host Robinson in the very near future.
"I'm going to West Virginia and Penn State next weekend," said Robinson. "I think I'll be at West Virginia on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday evening I'll go to Penn State to visit on Sunday."
Robinson racked up 80 tackles, four interceptions and four sacks last year. He return one of those interceptions for a touchdown. Robinson also had five punt returns for a touchdown and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.
