Rivals250 defensive back John Reid has gone underground lately but the standout from Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph's could be making waves again soon.
"Nothing really new is going on," said the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Reid. "I am talking a good amount of coaches right now. I'll probably be breaking down everything next week.
"I don't think I'll be able to figure out which schools I want to visit for a little while," he said. "I'll probably just have some top schools next week. I won't have anything like a top ten or anything crazy like that. It will probably be a top five or seven."

Reid has been building strong relationships with a number of coaches at each school he is involved with.
"The coaches from Miami, Rutgers, Penn State, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Alabama and Florida State are pretty cool," Reid said. "I don't think Virginia Tech and Florida State have offered yet. We're waiting right now to find out which schools will offer and to figure out which ones have offered."
Reid's next step in his recruitment is a bit uncertain right now.
"We'll see where we go from there," he said. "If we have to go down for some visits, we'll do that. I'm not sure about officials I just want to make these cuts."
Reid is currently ranked No. 101 in the Rivals250.
