R250 ATH Lewis picks UCLA

The day after he returned from an unofficial visit to UCLA Rivals250 athlete Jaason Lewis committed to the Bruins. The stand out from Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes was also considering Tennessee and Florida.
"I had the best comfort level there out of all the schools," said the 6-foot-2, 233-pound Lewis. "The campus life and with the city right there gives me a good opportunity off the field to do internships and branch out."

His fit with the coaching staff was one of the big factors for Lewis.
"Coach Polamalu and coach Mora are my favorite coaches and they all are very prestigious coaches," he said. "That was one of the things I was looking for. Coach Mora is a really cool guy. It's hard to explain but he is very business-like with the media but outside of that he is really goofy and fun."
The Tennessee Volunteers came in second for Lewis.
"I liked Tennessee but they had too many guys at my position," Lewis said. "I know I'll have to fight for my spot but I don't want to go in somewhere where they already have their foundation set. UCLA still needs guys to come in and they are one piece away from a national championship."
Lewis added that his committed will remain solid as long as there is not a major coaching change at UCLA.
