R100 RB McFarland open to all

The 2017 running back class in the Mid-Atlantic is loaded. One of the best is Rivals100 Anthony McFarland from Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha. He started picking up offers during his freshman year and now he has one of the best offer sheets in the country. Georgia jumped out to a commanding early lead but there are still plenty of other schools in the mix.

WHAT'S NEXT?: McFarland is going to take his time with his recruitment. He says he won't take any other visits until after the season. Some of McFarland's potential visits after the season are Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, South Carolina, Clemson, West Virginia and many others.
IN HIS WORDS: "I don't really have a top school right now," McFarland told Rivals.com. "The school that is showing me the most love is Georgia. I recently visited Alabama and Georgia so things are going well right now. After the season I will worry about my recruitment. I'm not making my commitment until my senior year. Ohio State, South Carolina, Clemson, West Virginia and a whole bunch of other schools still have my eye."
RIVALS' REACTION: Georgia is still in the driver's seat for McFarland but schools like Alabama, Michigan, Maryland , Ohio State and a handful of others will have a lot to say before McFarland signs on the dotted line. Maryland could provide the stiffest competition because of all the connections he has to the Terps. Don't be surprised if McFarland sneaks in a mid-season visit to College Park.
