Olney (Md.) Good Counsel linebacker Dorian O'Daniel took his second visit to Charlottesville this weekend as he took in a junior day at Virginia. Was his second impression better than his first?
"I liked it a lot better this time," said the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder. "I went down there this past season for their game against Virginia Tech and I wasn't feeling it that much. It might have been the game because they didn't play well. But this time I liked it, they answered all of my questions and I got a good feel for the coaches."
O'Daniel, who has more than 20 offers and recently received Auburn, Alabama, North Carolina and Nebraska, has big plans for the next few months.
"Virginia was just the start," he said. "It was good and I am looking forward to comparing them to others. March 3rd and 4th I am at Clemson and I'm hitting North Carolina on the way back. Then on April 14th I go to Michigan to check them out. I'd also like to maybe see Auburn and if I go down there I'll check out Alabama as well. Florida and South Carolina are also on the list as places I'd like to see."
One school that hasn't offered yet is also high on the list.
"I like Tennessee and I think they will offer soon," he said. "If they do I hope to visit there. I don't plan on making an early decision, I'll announce at the U.S. Army All American Bowl next January."
O'Daniel played linebacker for the first time last season and is ranked as the No. 37 prospect in the country. He plans on taking in a few camps this spring and summer.
"The VTO Camp in Virginia, one of the NIKE Camps, The Opening and Top Gun and maybe one other."
