R100 LB DeBerry talks visits cuts

Rivals100 linebacker Ricky DeBerry visited two SEC schools last weekend, continuing to try to visit every school that has offered him. The Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher's star is also getting close to making some cuts to his long offer sheet.
DeBerry travelled with Rivals100 defensive tackle Tim Settle to Ole Miss and Tennessee.

"We got to Ole Miss at 4:30 in the afternoon and didn't leave until 12:30 in the morning," said the 6-foot-2, 237-pound DeBerry. "They showed us everything we wanted to see. We spent two days at Tennessee. We met with the coaches and it was a great visit overall.
"Ole Miss is a great place," he said. "There is a lot of history and tradition there. They've had some great recruiting classes these past few years. The campus is really beautiful. The Grove was really nice and I think they might have the number one tailgating in the country. My mom really liked the Grove. The coaches showed us everything we needed to see. They were such genuine, nice people. It's definitely a place I want to try to get back to.
"I went up to Tennessee for a camp my freshman year then the coaching staff changed," DeBerry said. "I went up there on my own one time after that then my parents came with me to a game up there. Now Tim said he wanted to go also. Tennessee is a great place. Coach Jones and the coaches there had one of the top classes last year and they're really trying to bring Tennessee back to where it was. I definitely like Tennessee a lot."
DeBerry has close to 60 scholarship offers and he will be making some cuts to get down to a manageable number.
"I think I may make a top 18," he said. "There are a lot of schools right now. There are definitely some schools that I haven't hit yet that I really want to get to. I know this should happen by the end of this month so I can focus on those schools. I know some schools that will be in there. Some of my recent offers will be in there and so will some of the schools that I have visited. I definitely want to put some schools in there that I haven't visited that I like based off what I've heard and know about the school."
DeBerry will be visiting Ohio State on April 18.
