Originally 2017 Rivals100 defensive back Devon Hunter was supposed to go to Clemson last weekend but his ride fell through. Luckily, Hunter could hitch a ride with his Chesapeake (Va.) Indian River teammate Jaquan Yulee to Alabama.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Hunter is involved with a lot of teams but really no team has been eliminated just yet. No visits are scheduled right now but this will be a busy offseason for Hunter. Expect him to set up visits once Indian River finishes this season. Indian River plays Hampton (Va.) Bethel in the playoffs this weekend.
IN HIS WORDS: "It was great," Hunter said. "I've never been there for a game and it opened my eyes up a lot. I picked a really good one. Their defense was something fierce. I liked how they can cover man to man and they can come down and make plays. Seeing them on the field and how they work was great.
"I got to talk to all of the coaching staff, coach Saban, and coach Lup," he said. "I have a good relationship with all the coaches. They were basically telling me about where they saw me, what type of player I am and what they had to offer. I have a better relationship with all of them. They like my size and think I could go in there and make a difference for the team. They're saying I could come and play a role as a freshman like number 29, Minkah Fitzpatrick.
"I have a lot of schools I like but I don't have a favorite," said Hunter. "Alabama, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Michigan State, Georgia, Auburn, Florida and Florida State are schools that I really want to go to and really like."
RIVALS' REACTION: Right now all signs point to Hunter picking a southern school. Alabama has been at the center of his recruitment for a long time but Florida State and Florida have certainly caught his eye. Visits will play a large role in Hunter's recruitment, especially the ones to northern schools.
