R100 DE Sweat visits VT

Virginia Tech hosted a number of highly rated players last weekend. Rivals100 defensive end Josh Sweat was the highest rated of the group. This was not the first time the Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith star had visited the Blacksburg campus and he came away more impressed than before.
"It was a good weekend," said the 6-foot-5, 230-pound Sweat. "We did a lot of stuff up there. We took a tour through the football offices and saw where the coaches work. We also took a tour of the academic center too. We saw where all the players eat too. It was great. We saw more than last time. It surprised me how good it really was.
"The coaches were saying how much they like and that they want to get me to come there," he said. "They were showing a lot of love. They think I would be a big help to the program."
Sweat specifically pointed out a few things that he really likes about Virginia Tech.
"The relationship I have with them is even better now," Sweat said. "The way they think about their players is something I really like. Even if you get injured or can't really contribute to the team on the field they still want you help get you that education and get your degree. I'm also a big fan of their team and program. Those were probably the three biggest things for me."
Sweat is one of the most highly sought after recruits in the nation but he has yet to really make any decisions about visits are narrowing his list.
"I'm not sure about any other visits right now," he said. "I want to plan some things out before the summer so everything doesn't get cluttered."
Last season Sweat helped Oscar Smith to a 14-win season.
