R100 DE Dalton names top three

The top rated prospect at North Carolina's Fedora's Freak Show was Rivals100 defensive end Jalen Dalton. While the Tar Heels made headlines by grabbing four commitments on Saturday, the star from Clemmons (N.C.) West Forsyth made some headlines of his own, naming his first official top three.
"My top three schools are Virginia Tech, Florida State and North Carolina," said the 6-foot-6, 220-pound Dalton. "Things are going well with them. I'm still communicating with them. I'll probably take a couple more visits to them and then go from there."

While there may not be any order to Dalton's top three, they aren't the only schools he is still considering.
"I want to get down to Florida, he said. "I want to see Miami too."
There was a large, talented group of prospects that gathered in Kenan Memorial Stadium on Saturday night for North Carolina's Freak Show. In recent years this elite college prospect camp has gained a reputation for being loaded with top rated talent from across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
The performance Dalton turned in earned him the number one spot on the top performers list from the camp. More important to the North Carolina coaches and fans is Dalton's reaction to the visit.
"It was a good outcome," Dalton said. "The atmosphere was electric and it was nice to compete."
Dalton has an idea of when he will end his recruitment.
"It'll probably be during the season when I commit," he said.
Dalton is currently ranked No. 47 in the Rivals100.
