R100 DB Lewis sets UK official visit

Kentucky already grabbed Jabari Greenwood out of Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga and now they are a big time player for another. Rivals100 defensive back Marcus Lewis has set an official visit to get a closer look at the Wildcats.
"I'll be taking an official visit to Kentucky on the weekend of December 13," said the 6-foot, 194-pound Lewis. "I've become very close with the coaching staff there since I went on an unofficial visit their earlier this year. I've grown closer with coach Stoops, coach Ansley, coach Eliot and Coach Mainord and all the other coaches there. They've come to see me multiple times and I've maintained a good relationship with them."

Lewis has kept an eye on how Kentucky is doing on the field.
"I definitely see them as a program on the rise," he said. "They have really good players and really good coaches. I think coach Stoops is one of the most underrated coaches out there. He's always fired up and I like that. I think they could compete for an SEC championship next year. Even this year they've had some close games and they're a good team."
Kentucky isn't the only school Lewis has been involved with. After previous commitments to Virginia Tech and Florida, Lewis has shown a lot of interest in multiple other schools but there is a handful he talks to more than others.
"I feel like the schools I'm in touch with most of are Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Oregon and Washington State," Lewis said. "I'm in touch with Washington State almost every day. Someone from the coaching staff is always hitting me up. I've talked to Coach Leach the other day actually.
"Coach Pruitt from Georgia is always hitting me up and I've already said I'm going to go down there for an official visit," he said. "I don't know the date yet. I'm just waiting to see how things play out at Michigan."
Lewis has not set any other dates for official visits.
