Quinn begins to narrow focus

Lake Charles (La.) Barbe Rivals250 wide receiver Trey Quinn continues to make the rounds with recent stops at Clemson for a camp and a visit to Auburn. He hopes to camp at Ole Miss (July 19) and plans to attend camp at LSU in July.
Visits to Oklahoma State and Notre Dame were also part of his summer plans, but he is unsure if he will be able to check out those campuses at this time.

"I was hoping to visit Oklahoma State and Notre Dame this summer, but I am not sure if we can get there," Quinn said. "It is important to me as a senior to be with my team during summer workouts as much as possible, and I am also doing some work with a trainer. I have not planned on doing too many visits this summer for that reason."
It has not been easy, but the 6-1, 200-pound receiver has begun to narrow his focus with a mix of ACC, SEC, and Big 12 programs making the cut.
"There is no leader at this time," Quinn said, "but the schools that are recruiting me the hardest and at the top of my list are (in no particular order):
"LSU, Louisiana will always be home for me. I was born in Baton Rouge, and have lived in south Louisiana my entire life. I love my state and the people. I have always enjoyed representing them, from the Little League World Series to the present.
"Clemson, they have really made me feel like a priority to them. They have everything I am looking for in a college. Their entire family has embraced my entire family, and that has left a big impression, and has made it easier to accept the further distance it is.
"Texas Tech, they have made me a priority too. I get handwritten letters from them almost every day. Coach Kingsbury seems to really believe in me and thinks that I would be very productive in his system.
"Ole Miss, I like what Coach Freeze is about and I think they will do big things in Oxford. Like Clemson and Auburn, Oxford is another beautiful college town.
"Auburn, they started recruiting me a little later than the others due to their new staff, but they have been recruiting me as hard as anybody now, and they had a very specific plan for me in their offense which was appealing.
"Texas, Oklahoma State, and Notre Dame are all schools that I am strongly considering as well."
When it comes to narrowing his list further and potentially making a college decision Quinn does not have a time frame in mind.
As for potential official visits, it depends on how the recruiting process plays out.
"I am not sure how that will go," Quinn said."It all depends on when I commit. When I commit I do not see the need to visit other schools. I am taking my time with this decision, because I want my commitment to meet the definition of the word."
