One of the fastest linebackers on the east coast is looking hard at some top academic schools, and he has a couple of offers.
“I have offers from Duke and UConn,” says 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker Corey Sobel. “I’m hearing from Northwestern and Wake Forest a lot as well. I’m looking very hard at schools with excellent academic traditions and good English departments.”
Those four schools are generally the places where he’s receiving the most interest from, and they’re the places he’s spent the most time.
“I’ve gone to summer camps at Northwestern and Duke. I’ve taken unofficial visits to Northwestern, Wake Forest, Duke, and North Carolina. I’m definitely going to take official visits to Duke, Northwestern and UConn.”
Sabel is one of the fastest linebackers you’ll see on the football field. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds, and that helped him on the field last year.
“I made about 156 tackles and had seven sacks on defense.”
He also rushed 20 times for 180 yards with two touchdowns.
With great stats and speed, Sobel can expect more offers in the near future.
