Quarterback is school record-setter

Junior to Watch: Jason Johnson
High School: New Hope (Minn) Robinsville-Cooper

Position: Pro-style quarterback
Size and Speed: Jason is 6-foot-3 and weighs 210 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 4.80.
Statistics: In his junior season he threw for 1303 yards on 87 completions out of 193 attempts. He also totaled 13 touchdowns through the air.
Honors: He was named first team all-conference. He holds his school record for career passing yardage and career touchdown passes.
Favorite Schools: Johnson has a ton of schools interested in him. They include UN-Las Vegas, Florida, Miami, Central Florida, Colorado, Minnesota, Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi and Mississippi State.
"Right now I would say Minnesota is my solid favorite," Johnson said, "they have been my favorite team since I was little."
He has not received any offers yet.
Skinny: "My strengths on the field are my leadership, a fairly strong arm, but more accurate than anything else."
Johnson benches 210 pounds and squats 320 pounds.
He will be attending the Nike camp in Colorado and may also go to a Minnesota camp.
"Distance will not be a factor. If I don't end up going to Minnesota, I am open to go almost anywhere."
"The two most important qualities for my school is the tradition and to have a coaching staff that works well one on one with the players."
Johnson is looking at physical education or another area of teaching for his college study. His current gpa sits at 3.10.
"My dream visits would be to Hawaii, Miami, Florida and Minnesota."
