Quarterback hoping things with North Carolina intensify

The Latest: Sarasota-based quarterback Bryan Gagg is hunting for his first offer, but the class-of-2019 prospect has time for that sort of thing to sort itself out. He’s already visited North Carolina and plans to return to the Tar Heels campus this offseason. And while North Carolina’s NFL-bound quarterback, Mitch Trubisky , isn’t the sole reason for Gagg’s massive interest in the program, his rise to prominence certainly hasn’t hurt. Gagg has watched Trubisky on occasion this season, and the UNC product’s standing as a top-flight prospect has served to further fuel his interest.

IN HIS WORDS: “I like the campus [At North Carolina]. The campus is awesome. The coaches are awesome there, too. I really like the coaches. The uniforms – the colors they have – the uniforms are awesome, too.”

RIVALS REACTION: Gagg will get offers. The only question Is what level of colleges will get involved. The 6-foot-1 sophomore has found success at most events in which he’s participated and has shined on Friday nights as well. This offseason will be massive for Bragg, who will likely throw for a number of coaches during the evaluation period. Should North Carolina offer, a quick commitment is a possibility.
