QB Wilson pulls BCS offer

Offers have started to roll in for Enola (Pa.) East Pennsboro quarterback Austin Wilson. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder has claimed two scholarships to date, with his latest coming from a BCS program.
"I just got offered by Syracuse last week and my first one was from Eastern Michigan a couple months ago," he said. "Those are the only two offers. Most of the other big schools say they like me on tape, but they want to watch me come to camp."

What does Wilson think of the offers?
"I'm definitely very excited," he said. "I wasn't expecting Syracuse to offer that soon. I thought they'd want to watch me throw and check out my size, but they weren't going to hold back.
"I haven't visited Syracuse, but I'm going up this Friday. I don't know much about Eastern Michigan either, but all my family except my immediate family lives in Michigan, so that's why I looked at them."
Obviously other schools want to see Wilson and he noted plans to likely head to Maryland, Pittsburgh, Boston College and Rutgers for one-day camps.
In the meantime, a few other schools including Bowling Green, Akron, Penn State, Iowa and others have shown interest.
Does he like anyone?
"I guess we'll see after this weekend," he said. "I want to go where I know I'm going to be the No. 1 guy," he said. "I'm looking for a small town, not a big city. I want to make sure they have my major, criminal justice. I want a good football following with a bunch of fans and I want to see how I get along with the coaches and players. Five hours is about the farthest I want to be from home too."
On the field, Wilson posted approximately, 2000-yards passing and 20 touchdowns to eight interceptions as he earned first team all-conference and second team all-district.
"I think right now I have good Division I quarterback size," he said. "I'm a leader on and off the field and throw a good ball. I have good grades and I'm above average at reading defenses."
