QB Williams has early favorites

Chicago (Ill.) Vocational junior dual threat quarterback prospect Isiah Williams (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) has two early offers from Illinois and Northern Illinois this winter, yet a third suitor has caught Williams eye over the last few weeks.
"Purdue has really started to show me some serious recruiting interest," Williams said. "I've started getting hand written mail from Purdue, and the coaches said in those letters that they were impressed with my junior tape."

Williams has also continued to draw hand written mail and interest from several schools.
"I'm still getting steady hand written mail from Illinois, NIU and now Purdue. Also Boston College and Eastern Michigan have started sending me more and more mail. Both BC and Eastern Michigan have requested my junior tape."
Williams is hoping to check out a few college spring practices over the next few weeks.
"I'm definitely going to check out Illinois and Northern Illinois, and I'm really going to try to head down to Purdue. I would call those three schools my early favorites. Both Illinois and NIU have offered me early, and Purdue has a great offense as well as very strong academics. I'm definitely interested in all three schools at this point."
Williams in the meantime will spend his remaining spring break this week getting ready for his 2005 senior season.
"I've just been working out and lifting really hard this week on my spring break. I've actually ran into Bryant Creamer from Illinois and we've been working out together. That's about it for my spring break, just working hard and trying to get better."
