QB Tolzien is one to watch

Palatine (Ill.) junior quarterback prospect Scott Tolzien (6-foot-2, 178 pounds) from Fremd High School was one of several in-state prospects who participated in a recent quarterback camp. Tolzien shows plenty of arm and promise this spring, and Tolzien talks about his recent recruiting news.
"Things seem to be going pretty well," Tolzien said. "Two weeks ago I made an unofficial visit to Northwestern, then I made it to Iowa for it's spring scrimmage. I also went to Illinois for a spring practice then to Purdue for it's spring game."

Tolzien talked about his impressions from his various unofficial visits.
"I really enjoyed checking out all of the practices. I had a chance to sit in on some quarterback meetings, and that alone was really interesting to see what that was like. I also really enjoyed the chance to talk with the different coaches and to get a chance to see some of the facilities and campuses up close."
Tolzien has also seen a spike in his latest suitors this spring
"I've been starting to get hand-written mail recently from Iowa, Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin and Ball State. Those schools are planning to make in school visits in May over the next few weeks. I'm still getting steady mail from most of the Big Ten schools and a few others. Lately Minnesota and Tennessee have seemed to pick things up mail-wise."
Tolzien will make one more unofficial visit this spring.
"I want to head up to Wisconsin over the next few weeks, just so I can get a chance to see the campus and the facilities in Madison. I really want to see what they have to offer."
Tolzien is also looking forward to the Nike Camp in Ann Arbor on May 7th.
"I'm really looking forward to the Elite 11 as well as the Nike Camp. I'm also going to swing by Michigan State after those camps are done."
