QB Richardson busy with visits

Marlton (N.J.) Cherokee quarterback Demetrius Richardson was planning to take his first official visit earlier this month to Connecticut. The 6-foot-2, 217-pounder didn't make the trip. Is he rescheduling and will he go anywhere else?
"It is rescheduled, but I haven't set it yet," he said. "I just took an unofficial to Army recently though.

"It was pretty amazing. I got to see how beautiful the campus was. They didn't pull out a win, but it was definitely a place I could see myself going. The coaches there were excited to have me. They haven't officially offered, they did say they were going to."
In the coming weeks, the two-star prospect plans to take more visits to James Madison and Eastern Kentucky on unofficials.
Currently he holds offers from Connecticut, Villanova, Howard, Delaware State and Eastern Kentucky.
Is there a favorite?
"I like UConn, JMU, Villanova, Army," he said. "All of those are good academic schools and Connecticut is in the Big East."
Richardson helped Cherokee to a 7-3 record this year.
"We got knocked out of the playoffs," he said. "We had a great team and it was a year I didn't think we'd have.
"I did ok. I could always do better. I improved a lot in my poise and presence in the pocket since this was my third year at quarterback."
