Two prospects in particular are in McMaryion's sights and he's hopeful they join the Beavers' recruiting class soon.
"I'm trying to talk to Kurt Scoby a lot," McMaryion said. "I'm trying to get him to commit. I know he's close to committing. I know it's us and Arizona State so he's really close to committing.
"I'm also talking a lot to Adam Soesman out of Clovis Buchanan. I'm trying to get him to commit, too. I'm just talking to other guys on Twitter and trying to get them to commit to us."
The three-star quarterback from Dinuba, Calif., is focused on an upcoming scrimmage and then the season opener later this month.
According to him, the recruiting process is pretty much finished and now McMaryion has turned his focus to getting other big-time prospects to make their pledge to Oregon State as well.
"As of right now I'm just talking to Oregon State," McMaryion said. "I'm kind of locked in there. I'm 110 percent committed to them and I'm just trying to get all the recruits to commit to make the team better."
McMaryion, who threw for 3,477 yards with 43 touchdowns and three interceptions in his junior season, said he's only planning to take an official visit to Oregon State. Dinuba's bye week is in September and he's planning to visit Corvallis that weekend.
