Philadelphia Roman Catholic two-star dual-threat quarterback Andre Sloan El was scheduled to make his first official visit last weekend, but weather kept it from happening. But there won’t be much that can keep him from making this weekend’s visit.
“I’m excited,” Sloan El, who is 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, said. “I’m going to Minnesota. They’re still my leader. I’m going up there to see where I fit in and talk to the coaches. I want to look hard at their academic support, the class room settings and see if the football players are cool or not. I’m excited about it.”
Excited enough to commit?
“That’s a tough question now,” Sloan El said. “I don’t want to wait too long and not have a spot open. We’ll just have to see.”
Sloan El has scholarship offers from Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa, Temple and Kent State. He was scheduled to visit Kent last weekend, but snow kept him from making the visit. He hopes to re-schedule that visit for January – if he doesn’t commit before then.
