QB Playing It Smart

One of the top quarterbacks in the Garden State this year is 6-foot-5, 225-pound Mike Loree of Morristown (N.J.) Delbarton. Last season Mike threw for 1,800 yards and 21 touchdowns while completing 96 of 173 attempts. As we head into the new season, Mike has offers from Rutgers, Temple and Central Michigan.
“I like all the schools that offered so far, but Rutgers is my leader right now.”

Mike is also an excellent student and carries a 3.6 GPA and scored an impressive 1,140 on the SAT. For that reason he is also interested in a few Ivy League schools.
“I’ve been contacted by many of the Ivy League teams and I do have an interest in Brown so far. I’m not in a hurry to make a decision and I will probably wait and see what happens after the season”
Mike is your typical pro-style quarterback. He has a good arm and reads defenses well. With another year like 2001, plenty of more offers should come his way.
“I’m looking forward to a great senior season. Our team has set goals and I want to make sure we reach them.”
