QB: Ole Miss visit awesome

Memphis (Tenn.) Ridgeway quarterback Will Hudgens didn’t hold back on the accolades when asked how his official visit with Ole Miss went this weekend.

“It was awesome. Just awesome,” he said. “I loved everything about it. It was unbelievable.

“The players, the coaches, the campus… I just loved it all. The players were really fun to hang around with, and all of them love the school. My host was Robert Lane, another quarterback. We had fun talking about stuff we had in common and playing quarterback there. I didn’t come across one negative comment from anybody. I came away feeling really good about them.”

Did Hudgens consider a commitment while on his trip?

“It was a great visit, but I told myself I would wait until after my Memphis visit to make a decision,” he said. “I’ll probably make my mind up next Monday or Tuesday.”

Hudgens (6-4, 200, 4.85) will visit the Tigers this coming weekend. He had also been considering Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech, but feels strongly that he’s down to his final two.

As a senior, Hudgens passed for 1,100 yards and 14 touchdowns.
