Bennetsville (S.C.) Marlborough County quarterback Syvelle Newton has set up three official visits and it looks like he won't need anymore.
"I'm visiting South Carolina, Clemson and UCLA," said the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder. "I have USC on Jan. 10, Clemson on Jan. 17 and UCLA on Jan. 24. I don't think I'll need any beyond that, but I don't know yet."
Newton will be at the SCADA North-South Game festivities this week and will begin to focus on recruiting in early January. There's an outside chance that he doesn't need more than one visit.

"There's a chance I commit on my South Carolina visit," he said. "They've always been my favorite, but I'm staying open. I need to make sure I pick the best situation for me."
Coaches from South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee and Clemson were in Newton's house last week.
