QB Names Leader
Atlanta (Ga.) McNair quarterback Maurice Avery is slowly narrowing his list down to a select few -- and he even has a leader.
Recently visited North Carolina has taken a lead over Memphis in the race for this 6-foot-2, 190-pound playmaker.

"I really liked my visit there and felt at home."
Did he think about committing?
"Not really, I want to take all my visits, and think things out,” he said. “I went to Memphis last weekend and plan on going to West Virginia, Middle Tennessee State, and Louisville. They've all offered me a scholarship.”
Avery certainly made a case on the field with his athletic prowess, leading his 8-3 team with 1,800 yards passing, 630 yards rushing, and 30 touchdowns
