QB may commit if FAU offers

Trevor Vasey didn't go through with his official visit to Florida Atlantic as he had planned but that doesn't mean his interest in the school has faded.
In fact, it's at an all-time high. The Sun Belt school started recruiting the 6-foot-7, 215-pound quarterback just a couple of weeks ago and it appears they have some serious interest.

"They're actually going to come up here and talk to me," Vasey said. "I was supposed to [visit this weekend] but I had a visit to Elon. So they're going to come up to see me. They'll be here tomorrow because their coach said he wanted to meet me in person."
What does the Franklin (Mass.) Dean J.C. quarterback know about the Owls?
"I watched them on T.V. a couple of weeks ago against FIU," he said. "I really like the school. If they offered me I'd be really happy and I might commit."
Elon, Furman and Southeast Louisiana are the other schools recruiting the towering signal-caller.
Most coaches seem to see Vasey as a pro-style quarterback but he believes he has the potential to run some zone-reads, so the spread isn't out of the question.
This fall Vasey passed for 1,900 yards and 15 touchdowns in eight games.
