QB lands another ACC offer

Morgan Mahalak does not have a tremendous amount of varsity film from last season because he backed up Cal signee Jared Goff but that has not stopped his recruitment from taking off.
The Kentfield (Calif.) Marin Catholic quarterback picked up his latest offer from NC State on Wednesday and he already had Duke, Oregon State, Idaho and South Alabama on his list.

During a recent East Coast swing, Mahalak took a quick unofficial visit to NC State and now he's landed another big offer.
"It was a quick visit but I visited there," Mahalak said. "It was awesome. It was a quick visit but I got to see all their facilities and everything they had to offer.
"We started talking to coach (Matt) Canada a little bit and he definitely had good things to say and I'm really excited about the opportunity to play there so it's all good stuff."
There is also a lot of interest coming in for Mahalak, who starts a multi-day unofficial visit to Oregon this weekend.
The Ducks definitely seem to interest the Marin Catholic standout and many other programs are reaching out as well.
"I'm taking a visit to Oregon this weekend and I've been hearing a lot from them, probably the most, so that's a big visit for me," Mahalak said.
"That's probably my biggest one right now but North Carolina, Miami is still there along with Washington and Boise State."
There are some programs standing out but Mahalak said he doesn't want to name any just yet.
Because his recruitment can become exponentially busier once more college coaches see him throw, this could just be the beginning of his offers.
"I try not to get involved in just one school," Mahalak said.
"I want to respect all the offers I have and all the interest I'm receiving. Everybody is pretty equal. I have a couple schools in mind but until they kind of come out and present themselves I'm not going to say too much."
