QB Jones lands another Big Ten offer

Chicago (Ill.) Morgan Park junior dual-threat quarterback prospect Demetrius Jones (6-foot-3, 185 pounds) returned back to school on Monday from his week long spring break last week. Awaiting Jones was a huge pile of mail from schools across the country as well as an offer from Northwestern University.
"I started back to school today after being off all last week on spring break," Jones said. "I had a ton of mail waiting for me at school, including a scholarship offer from Northwestern."

Jones talked landing his fourth offer from the Wildcats.
"It's good to get an offer from Northwestern and I'm happy about it. Northwestern is local, plus they are Big Ten. Academically they are really hard to beat and they offer a great opportunity. I've gotten to know a few kids who are heading to Northwestern next year from last summer's FCA camp, and they seemed like good kids. I'll definitely check Northwestern out."
Jones also filled us in on his latest suitors.
"I had about 40 letters waiting for me today at school. I'm still sorting through it all but today I opened hand-written letters from Miami (Fla.), North Carolina State, North Carolina, Georgia, Georgia Tech and some hand written things from several Big 12 schools."
Jones spent last week working out and getting ready for his senior season.
"I basically just worked out hard all week last week, trying to get in the best shape possible. I've also been trying to improve my footwork and my overall fundamentals."
Jones is also hoping to get out and see a few spring practices over the next few weeks.
"I'm still trying to figure everything out, but I'm planning to check out some spring ball over the next few weekends."
