Three-star quarterback Nick Jeanty entered the playoffs with a perfect 17 -0 touchdown-to-interception ratio. On Friday night he threw his first pick of the season, but he managed to lead his team to a 31-21 win with a pair of scoring strikes.
Florida International has jumped in the mix for the 6-2, 166-pound signal caller along with Ohio.
"FIU offered me a couple of weeks back," Jeanty said. "Ohio is coming after me hard too."
Jeanty remains high on UCF because they were one of the first schools to offer him.
"UCF is in my top two along with Ohio," Jeanty said. "I'm setting up a couple of visits in the near future to both places. It depends on the schedule with the playoffs. I may try and get there after a Friday night game or go after the season."
The field general calls Peyton Manning his favorite quarterback, and his efficiency rating this year he might have some Manning-caliber tools. But can the Bobcats pluck Jeanty from the Sunshine State?
"I have a great relationship with Coach (Daryl) Dixon from Ohio," Jeanty said. "I talked to him at least once a week. The MAC has good quarterbacks too."
Jeanty is looking for a spread offense that incorporates some pro-style concepts. He plans to make a decision after he visits UCF and Ohio.
