QB impresses at UM camp

The stars have been out all this week in Ann Arbor, Mich., as the Michigan Wolverines have hosted some of the top talent in the nation for their summer camp.
While names like Jonas Gray, Ethan Johnson and others have been the headliners, one player that has impressed quite a bit is Teresita (Okla.) Sequoyah-Tahlequah quarterback Nathan Stanley.

The 6-foot-5, 185-pound three-star prospect entered the camp with offers from Kansas State, Northwestern and Oklahoma State. Could he be close to adding an offer from the Wolverines?
"When practice was over there were about five or six of us that stayed afterwards and had a little workout with the quarterbacks coach," Stanley, the nation's No. 19 pro-style quarterback, said. "Then when that was over he told me he wanted to see me in his office and told me they didn't have any quarterbacks committed and coach Lloyd Carr wanted to speak with me first thing in the morning when I go back."
So could that mean an offer is coming?
"Yeah I think so," he said. "I hope so."
What if the offer does come?
"You know I've talked about it with my coach, and I might pull the trigger," he said. "I don't know. My coach is here with me, but my mother isn't here so that's the one reason I might hold off. But we're pretty sure they will offer."
Stanley, who also picked up an offer earlier today from Arkansas while he was the Michigan camp, said the Wolverines' tradition might be tough to pass up.
"They're a well established program," he said. "They're a dominant Big Ten team. They've got a lot of quarterbacks in the league. That's a big thing that stands out to me. All the coaches have treated me real well up there."
But it's not a total slam dunk that he commits to Michigan even if he is offered. He's got other plans this summer for a few more camp stops.
"Tomorrow morning I'm going to stay for one more practice and then we've got to fly out for camp at Purdue," he said. "Then I'm camping at K-State on the 24th."
