QB Hill likes the Canes

Audubon, New Jersey quarterback Brandon Hill is one of a few prospects from the Garden State that the Miami coaching staff plans on evaluating.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound quarterback is a prototypical pocket passer and that's one of the things the Hurricanes and others like about him.

"I just sent my highlight tape and stuff to Miami. I mean, I really, really like them," he admitted. "They sent me some stuff and I just sent back what they wanted. Hopefully I'll hear back from them.
"They're definitely one of my favorites. Other than them I'd probably still say I like Rutgers, Purdue and Connecticut."
Those last three schools have been showing Hill interest for longer than the Canes, and they may be more familiar with him. Rutgers is the only school to offer thus far, but the other two could follow suit soon.
"I've talked to the Purdue coach and the Connecticut coach a little bit. I'm probably going to be going up to UConn soon, and probably Rutgers, too. I'm sure I'm going to get to Purdue for one of their practices or their spring game."
Hill may have to prove himself in person before schools extend offers.
"I think most of them definitely want to see me throw. That's what Purdue said and Maryland said that, too. I think that's what Connecticut wants but they didn't tell me that. They want me to come up there in June for a camp."
