QB Edwards wraps up a great May

Downers Grove (Ill.) North junior safety prospect Garrett Edwards (6-foot-2, 192 pounds) entered the May evaluation period with hopes of just gaining some slight college interest at best. Now? Edwards has ended the May evaluation period with three scholarship offers as well as recruiting interest from schools across the country.
"May turned out to be a much better month for me than I could have ever expected," Edwards said. "My goal at the start of May was to be able to draw some recruiting interest and notice from some schools. For me to have three early offers as well as getting calls and interest from so many schools has been amazing."

Edwards recapped his recruiting during May.
"I've added offers from Toledo, Northern Illinois and Central Michigan. I received calls recently from Iowa, Northwestern, Indiana and Boston College. I would say that I received around 35 calls in May. As far as coaches that made in school visits, my head coach (John Wander) told me that we had roughly 50-60 coaches in school during May."
Edwards has set several one-day camp dates this summer.
"I'm going to the Iowa camp on June 4th. I'm then camping at Northwestern on June 10th, Illinois on June 13th, Purdue on June 17th and Wisconsin on June 20th. I'm also going to camp at Notre Dame, and I might try to get to Minnesota and Indiana. The coaches from Minnesota said that if I come to came they will offer me a scholarship. Minnesota is recruiting me as a safety prospect and that they want to see me tackle in camp."
Garrett Edwards currently has offers from Toledo, Northern Illinois and Central Michigan.
