QB Dickey Has Leader

Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln quarterback Gavin Dickey could probably play wide receiver or cornerback for almost any team in the country. However, the 6-foot, 190-pounder with 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash wants to play quarterback. As a result, his top four list is a tad odd considering there is only one Florida school on it.
“I’m going to Southern Cal on January 25th, Miami on January 18th and Notre Dame on October 19th,” he said. “I’m also going to take a trip to Georgia Tech but I’m not sure when.”

And will there be a fifth visit?
“The fifth team is wide open,” he said. “I might not even take a fifth visit.”
Dickey is the seventh-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the country and has drawn comparisons to Michael Vick although he’s a lot smaller. He’s thrown for 300 yards and two touchdowns while running for another 100 yards and two more scores in his teams 2-0 start. He also has a favorite school.
“Right now USC leads with Miami a close second,” he said. “USC is my last visit so I’ll have a lot to compare it to.”
