QB Cox adds three offers

Quarterback Rodney Cox out of Angier (N.C.) Harnett Central is up to five scholarship offers. The 6-foot-6, 228-pounder added three new tenders from the ACC and SEC recently.
"I'm up to five offers now including ones from East Carolina, North Carolina State, North Carolina A&T, Clemson and South Carolina," he said. "I got all three of the new ones in the past month or so. I know the offers from Clemson and South Carolina were big and I like the offers and can say both of them are definitely contenders.

"I have not visited either of those schools at this time. I'm just looking for whoever can get me to the next level. I want to see who else is going to offer and then I can start narrowing things down."
Currently Cox still doesn't have any favorites.
"I'd say all the schools are the same," he said. "I did grow up a fan of North Carolina State, but it is hard to say if that'll play a factor in my decision at all."
The Carolina quarterback continues to get plenty of other interest from schools including Florida, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Washington, Virginia Tech and more.
This summer Cox plans to visit East Carolina in June.
Cox earned all-region, all-state and conference player of the year honors last season after accounting for nearly 2,800 yards of offense.
