QB Cotton narrows it to three

Four-star quarterback Raymond Cotton took his third official visit this past weekend. The 6-foot-4, 216-pounder was previously looking at five schools, but now has dropped his list to just three.
"Southern Miss was nice," he said. "It was really nice and the coaches there showed me a good time.

"I toured the campus, they showed me around and I sat with the players. I had a lot in common with my host who was from my area. It was cool talking to him."
Cotton spent much of the visit with the coaching staff.
"The coaches went over what I'd be doing next year within the offense," he said. "I talked to them most of Saturday.
"They showed me film. I liked how the offense is run, it's nice. The coaches were cool and they tend to their players. Coach Blake Anderson is the coach for me, he's cool, down-to-earth and he's got three different ways to approach you. He's got a kid's personality, coach's personality and a father personality.
"I also liked head coach Larry Fedora. He's a cool head coach."
Cotton confirmed that Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Kansas State are his three finalists. He plans to round out his trips this Friday with a trek to Kansas State.
"I'm down to these because of the coaches. They are where I want to be and spend four years of my life."
As for a decision, Cotton doesn't have a timetable yet.
