QB Colvin looking for more offers

Quarterback Michael Colvin already holds two scholarship offers. The Morristown, N.J. prospect is hoping to land more offers as he is in the middle of a summer camp circuit.
"I have offers from Buffalo, Akron and an invitation from Harvard," he said. "I've already visited Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Syracuse and Rutgers. I'm going to Harvard this weekend, hopefully to Penn and then I'm going to make it to Clemson, Virginia, maybe North Carolina and Duke in the next two or three weeks."

What's the situation with the schools that haven't offered yet?
"I think they don't want to jump the gun," he said. "Everyone has been impressed. Coach Wannstedt told me I'm at the top of their list, if he takes a quarterback it'd be me. I think I'm No. 1 on their recruiting list."
Does Colvin like anybody?
"It's such a variety of schools, Big East, ACC, Ivy," he said. "I've very interested in Boston College, Pittsburgh and Virginia. Those are three big Division I schools. I'm excited about Harvard and Penn too.
"I think I want a football town. I want tradition and people to come out to the games. I want a fan base. Most of all I want a good coaching staff that I can get along with."
The Jersey prospect helped his team to a 9-2 record last season as he accounted for 1,800-yards of offense and 22 touchdowns. Colvin earned first team all-conference, county and section honors.
