Brock Purdy has been busy hitting the road, taking important trips over the last month and working toward a decision.
This past weekend the three-star quarterback from Gilbert (Ariz.) Perry took his final trip to Texas A&M.
Purdy is happy he made it to College Station.
“Pretty good visit,” Purdy said.
“Love the college town and the coaching staff. Coach (Jimbo) Fisher is brilliant, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Loved the people in College Station as well.”
After the trip, the Gilbert Perry standout said he has narrowed his final choices to Texas A&M and Iowa State. Alabama, Boise State and UCF were the other schools he visited in recent weeks.
Rumors swirled sometime last week that Iowa State had emerged as the frontrunner but Purdy said that’s not true and that the Cyclones and Aggies will both be seriously considered as he works toward a decision.
As for Iowa State, Purdy was definitely impressed especially after spending time with coach Matt Campbell.
“The visit was awesome,” Purdy said.
“They treated us like family and really got a good feel for the college in general. Coach Campbell said I'd be a great fit especially since I came from an offense that is very similar.”
In his senior season, Purdy threw for 4,405 yards with 57 touchdowns and nine picks. He also rushed for 1,017 yards and nine scores.
