Brock Purdy took an official visit to Boise State over the weekend. The three-star quarterback who put up huge stats in his senior season had a phenomenal time.

It looked like he was going to head back home, talk things over with his parents and he could be closing in on a decision.

Then Alabama offered on Tuesday night.

“Coach Jeff Banks did a home visit (Monday) night and apparently they have had their eye on me for a while now and coach (Nick) Saban told Banks to call me and offer me,” Purdy said.

The Gilbert (Ariz.) Perry quarterback had been planning to visit UCF this weekend but he’s still unsure on where he will take a trip in the coming days. A visit to Tuscaloosa is slated for the following weekend and Purdy is looking forward to it.

“This weekend I might be changing things up, but Alabama (Jan. 26) for sure,” Purdy said.

“Not sure where else I'll be visiting. My family and I are discussing everything still. (Jan. 26) is still ‘Bama. I'm looking for a great college town and to get to know the offensive system better. Hopefully, they have an offensive coordinator by the time I visit.”

Alabama is definitely an intriguing offer but Boise State is still a major player for Purdy, who threw for 4,405 yards with 57 touchdowns and nine picks in his senior season. He also rushed for 1,017 yards and nine scores.

Before the Crimson Tide offered, the three-star called Boise State the frontrunner.

“Boise State blew my mind,” Purdy said. “The staff made me feel like family and made everything feel like home. I'm going to go home and talk about everything with my family before I make a huge decision.”
